John Densmore is one if the most underrated drummers in all of rock 'n' roll.

After of 30 years of listening to different kind of music, some 40 thousand hours of all bands, singers, I came to conclusion, there is no better band than The Doors.

That guitar solo is unbelievable it gives me chills every time I hear it, it's 3:00 am right now I hope my neighbors like it. Best band ever.

Ray's solo on this song is absolutely amazing.... He hits those notes ferociously. Rip Jim and Ray, your both missed.

I remember driving my 1962 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible in the Spring of 1967 with the top down listening to this song in New Jersey while the DJ on AM radio slipped and played the long version to my surprise. It seemed the song went on forever! Great song putting you in a super good mood. I miss the 1960's for they will never come again.

Probably the best FIRE I've heard by the Doors, more so than the slick polished version aired on the radio. Ray was on fire in this one and his keyboard solo in is unprecedented. This is the work of true musical geniuses. Forget top ten hits and being musucal guests during the Super Bowl intermisisons and crap. This is REAL music, right down to the nitty gritty

Am I the only one who tears up when listening to The Doors? Not necessarily from sadness, but because it's so beautiful, and gentle yet hard. It's like a trip into another universe that was made just for you.

This version of Light My Fire is out of this world. Aesthetic Art at its best. It catches you and your gone with the music into another dimension. Nobody has a chance not to go on a trip with them in this interpretation. Legendary The Doors!

In this live performance Ray Manzarek shows us that he was a musical force to reckon with.
Insane improvisation, a true musical genius. We miss you Ray.

Truly amazing. These guys are the best band of all time. What they accomplished in such a short amount of time is unreal.

The band had the ability to create authentic musicscape that lures you into it's melodic jazz improvisation, and all of a sudden your in the studio with the band watching every note being recorded opening the doors of your perception

The Doors had a synchrony between them like no other band...

The song has a structure, more of less flexible, with the organ solo and the guitar solo in which they allow themselves freedom... it's full of improvisations where all instruments come together as if each could read each other minds and feelings to perfection.... I find this quality of the Doors truly amazing.

John really shows his drumming chops here. The Doors were as improvisational as any jam band you can name. They prove it here.
