I remember driving my 1962 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible in the Spring of 1967 with the top down listening to this song in New Jersey while the DJ on AM radio slipped and played the long version to my surprise. It seemed the song went on forever! Great song putting you in a super good mood. I miss the 1960's for they will never come again.

Probably the best FIRE I've heard by the Doors, more so than the slick polished version aired on the radio. Ray was on fire in this one and his keyboard solo in is unprecedented. The song has a structure, more of less flexible, with the organ solo and the guitar solo in which they allow themselves freedom... it's full of improvisations where all instruments come together as if each could read each other minds and feelings to perfection.... I find this quality of the Doors truly amazing.
