I feel so bad for those people who's homes flooded. That's an absolute nightmare. It's so nice the fire department helped as much as they did.

I give props to the First Responder talking to dad. He was very calm, cool, and collected, which likely helped keep him in a calmer state.

My ex-husband worked for the Lee County fire department when I was in an accident they were so outstanding not because of my ex-husband being on the force itself but because they didn't know who I was and treated me as if I was such a priority they were so kind in their speech to me and really reassured me as I was pregnant at the time

I was in a severe wreck a week before I was scheduled to start nursing school. I had to receive a tetanus booster and apparently I had a reaction to it, I lost consciousness and hit a light pole on the drive home from the doctor’s office. They had to use the jaws of life to get me out. I am so thankful for the first responders that helped me that day in August 2002. I was able to start nursing school 2 weeks later, in a wheelchair due to my injuries, but I made it and graduated as a Registered Nurse in May of 2005. These men and women work so hard and are true heroes.

My daughter is a firefighter in Colorado. First accident she was called to was an electric car that nothing was left of the person. I couldn't do it.
Thank you to all first responders

How incredible is it to see someone who is basically dead and blue, to standing up talking like nothing happened a few moments later. Narcan is incredible

I got into a bad wreck a couple weeks ago and it still haunts me. I was driving tipsy on my way to a place where I was planning on ending my life and a deer came out in front of my car, I swerved to avoid it and sent my Kia Soul rolling down an embankment into a field. It rolled 15 feet into a tree demolishing the car and almost hitting a horse. I remember waking up to my seat belt suffocating me. I'm very short and I had slipped from my seat and was essentially being hung by my seat belt. Got the seat belt off and blacked out again. When I came back to I tried to call for help but I couldn't even call 911. I remember screaming for help I have never in my life screamed so loudly. When they found me my organs were shutting down from hypothermia and I was in shock I was hysterical when they found me. I remember the firefighters (?) Telling me to climb out the car but my body wouldn't move no matter how hard I tried. They broke my window and got me out, I was sobbing to them that I was so sorry and thanking them. They got me out and took me on a helicopter to a trauma center. I'm still dealing with the after math, I had a concussion and a bruised spine but luckily nothing more. Getting myself from my seat belt saved my life, I'm so glad I was taken to a mental hospital instead of facing jail time I'll be grateful to that cope till the day I did for not sending me to jail. My life is ruined after that crash I was homeless living out of that car and now I lost everything, I have no idea where it's impounded so I lost my ID birth certificate and social security card. I have only myself to blame for driving tipsy, I take full responsibility for what I've done. Please please please never drive under the influence and please take care of yourselves

I was in an extremely bad auto accident, and believe me you want first responders just like these fine men and women. Keeping calm is key and a steady, kind voice is everything.

I just moved Memphis TN 2 years ago after living in Fort Myers for 50 years. Traveled all of these roads millions of times. So had to watch this video.
