This mod was just a failed test for only ONE part of a roll mod, that the person who helped code decided to upload since it worked well enough as a regular roll. Just wait until proto arts rolling physics mod is finished, it's a full revamp of the controls to make them fully momentum based like utopia

I love this mod so much and the only additional thing i want for it is to have the slide/spin be controlled by holding down the button, and upon release sonic would uncurl and keep running.

Sega hates the spin dash. They haven't given sonic a real spin dash since Sonic 06

Honestly that's less like the drop dash and more the extended spin dash from Sonic Lost World (a hidden technique where if you tap the button twice Sonic never stops rolling)

The slide was originally supposed to be much more combat focused, having to use slide to initiate certain skills, infact the entire combat system was supposed to be much more in depths and fun. But of course, due to time constraints MANY things were cut, and we were left with only a handful of what Sega team had to offer. Maybe in the next sequel we could possibly get what Sega team had in mind for the combat of an open zone platformer

With spin dash oficially coming to this game, I really hope you can use it similarly like this. Drop dash is already super fun imo and being able to spin dash without jump and hold a button to keep rolling would be a dream come true

Gotta say after DLC 2 the game feels so much better with the deceleration options and spindash (spinboost), it's so much fun now
