An update to a game is definitely a game changer Mumbo.

If you combine these new tools with Mumbo's bank combination build, you'd have a wealth of alternatives to using buttons. You could go full "Bopp-It" and make the solution something silly like: open a door, glide across pit, play the goat horn, and look through the telescope. EDIT: I see a few others have thought of that as well :)

I only half understood this new block when it was introduced, but I'm sure Mumbo logic will make this new block so obvious

My takeaway is that soon we’ll be able to send complex coded messages over some distance in Minecraft. There are 26 letters in the English language.

That’s a small enough amount where if you have 13 signal strengths and one binary switch, you could effectively communicate all 26 letters of the alphabet.

Granted, I think it’d probably be better to have only a few different signals that have simple phrases with important information. Like “come here” or “on my way” or “you’re in danger” or “Scar is going to visit you.”

I love when Mumbo makes a new tool and is like, “I have no idea what this is but here it is” and then the redstone community is like “omg it’s the Throngler of myth!” And it changes the scene entirely

I’m imagining a super immersive labyrinth build using this. Since you can pass signals wirelessly and base it on specific sounds you can make a multistage maze that shifts based on reaching invisible checkpoints. No command blocks, no trip wire, no pressure plates.

The teleportation detection could actually be good as an anti-cheat mechanism for something, like breaking into a vault. If some pesky bird tries to teleport in using chorus fruit, then the sensor would activate, doing whatever you want.

That calibrated skulk sensor has so much potential, imagine in a horror map you use them to add ambience, you could add a mod or resource pack to change the sound of it detecting sound to sounds of creepy crawling, then after detecting your sound it sounds like crawling then it activates a redstone contraption for the next jumpscare.

Honestly the armour equipping one to open a door ( 6:10 ) could be useful for nether portals. So you could both hide you portal and remember to equip gold armour!

Mumbo, you've forgotten one thing! Sculks can be "deafened" to a direction by wool! If you wanted an automatic door that opened with steps (or any other method) you could have it only trigger in one specific spot! Or heck, make a toggle so your secret sound only activates when a piece of wool is pulled away. Endless ideas! Such a good update!

We don't just have an invisible pressure plate, we have automatic doors, like the ones at supermarkets.
Just super cool!

This is the first time EVER in history that Mumbo has gone over an update at a relevant time

The idea of a door that only opens when you tip your hat off and on near it is so elegant.

This could make for some really cool storyline creations where three players in different locations equip an armor, drop a key or damage a mob open a door

Imagine if putting an amethyst bud/cluster on the amethyst block boosted the range of the signal it passes along/resonates, like a signal extender or an antenna of sorts. A small bud would be +50%, a medium bud +100%, a large bud +150%, and a full cluster would be +300%.

You could make a city have wi-fi like this by making a massive grid of sensors and amethyst underneath the floor so that messages can be sent across. The only problem is getting the message to the right receiver, otherwise it could be like a news broadcast, flashing a lamp in every building when the mayor presses a button

I like how he made a door that you can open by tipping your hat. Clearly a gentleman and a scholar.

A note about the waterlogged Calibrated Sculk Sensor at 7:45: you shouldn't need to surround the water with blocks once you get it flowing. The water won't redirect itself unless it finds another hole that's an equal or shorter distance away from the source block

i think "Sculk Sensor with purple thing attached to it" has a nice ring to it
