My friends, we are sharing this quick video on making that ugly dull plastic shine and look new again. For this to work you DO have to use the products listed, we found it by accident when the two were mixed by mistake many years ago, there is something in the baby oil and when mixed with the mineral oil that just plain works, but it does have to be cleaned with the 99% alcohol first.
It just makes plastic look great for a very long time.

Just did this, awesome tip! I looked all over for mineral oil at Walmart, finally asked an associate where I could find it, turns out it's a laxative, so got to the laxative section in the pharmacy department, hope this might save someone else some time.

Again my mind is blown! So today I bought my husband a newer car and because we live in Florida I'm rewatching so many of your videos so we can keep this new edition to our family looking great. Thank you so much for showing us how to fix and maintain our vehicles! We're buying new wiper blades and soaking them in 303 and treating the tires! Plus all the other great things I've learned. I'm so excited! And now I know how to fix the faded plastic on my 2000 minivan. 😁

Magic. There are about 100 different (expensive) products for doing this on the market and never seen anything work as good as this. Awesome sir.

I just finished using this remedy for the runners on my Sport Trac. It Looks great! I followed the instructions, even using a surgy glove to work it in. The rubbing alcohol I used was 91%, not 99%, Lol! I also cleaned my tires with the alcohol and used the ArmourAll extreme tire shine gel and that is a winner too. Thanks much for your expertise, Mr. Sweet.

Tried the method as described on my wife's 2005 Audi A3 with 130.000 miles on it. Grille in greyish plastic, "fake airvents" in the bumber in black. Both soaked in a mix of mineral and baby oil. For two days. Unbelievable: the oil-mixture was nearly soaked up. Hardly any residue to be taken off with an old microfibre towel.

I own a 1969 Peugeot 204 Coupé. Very rare, very small and tiny and very much plastics "of old" in the interior. Old plastics tend to wear out very quickly after nearly 50 years, they harden and loose color. Tried the usual stuff after thoroughly cleaning with a mild APC (Meguiar's) diluted 1:20. Clean but somehow lifeless and faded.

How hard can it be? Get a bit more than 5 oz of the mixture ready, have some swabs an tiny brushes at hand and give it a go. B O Y !!

Some parts needed a second coating because the oil mixture was soaked in after a day. To achieve saturation I used nearly half a pint of this stuff on the interior of a ca that is 12 feet long and 4 1/2 feet wide (exterior measurements). UNBELIVABLE!! The shine is back, the color is vivid again, the material is much softer to the touch (if ever supposed to be soft), the hard plastics are much more resistant to scratches. No need to be afraid of "greasy slime" remaining - just a good wipe with an old cloth and the little residue is away. Dry and completely unslippery to the touch.

It is really mind-blowing to have this useful information spread on youtube. PERFECT!

A bit late to the party on this one, but as ever, many thanks Mike. Curiously, I am was just about to try another tip I saw which suggests ordinary wood oil would also work. Only problem is there was nothing about which wood oil to use. On balance, I think I would prefer to be guided by the maestro, again many thanks Mike.

I always spend money on oils or products that are usually sold at a convenience store but can not meet my requirements and you have shown a cheap and easy way for the country, which has two seasons that are dry and wet it is very useful. thank you very much. thumbs up...

baby oil, we used to use the baby wipes to clean the door cards on the works transit when on the rails, they would be covered in mud and sweat and were really it would lift it straight off ....cheers for the vid...regards and best wishes.

I gotta say, some of your stuff can seem kinda corny, BUT you are also becoming my fav YT channel.

Baby oil is made of mineral oil. If you make a 50/50 mix of baby oil & mineral oil, you end up with a concoction that's 99% mineral oil & 1% fragrance. I'm still going to try it though brother, as you haven't let me down yet.
