Diligent *does* come with -50% Stress Loss though, so BEWARE mixing it with Paranoid or Ambitious

My fave will always be temperate. +3 stewardship, small health boost, and it’s a common virtue, including being a catholic one

I agree, diligent is amazing. I also love Eccentric, though there are tradeoffs. The 20% buff to lifestyle XP is amazing though.

I like eccentric a lot because of the lifestyle bonus

Diligent is definitely good if you combine it with traits to counter the stress stats of Diligent.

Temperate, diligent, gregarious. Best combo of traits in the game

One BIG problem with gregarious, and believe me someone that has played Alfred the Great over 200 times I can say for certain that you get stressed if you fail a sway scheme, and because of that you can start swaying the pope, and you forget to cancel the scheme after you have 100 relation, and because the religious leader sway scheme is 20% for some reason you will most likely fail over, and over, and OVER again, it sucks, nice bonuses at least ehh...

Gregarious unfortunately gives stress when murdering people. If you don't murder anyone, it's basically S tier.

I like to mix blackmail and payment for hooks with forgiving. You get the big money and forgive the broke people to remove all the stress you gain from the blackmail.
You’ll never be stressed again and the people you blackmail will love you.

Sadistic for being able to torture random nobodies and lose stress.

Not mentioning that Diligent makes losing stress nearly impossible should be a crime.

The best trait is Eccentric, for the experience bonus and lots of fun options. But I also really like Just, which allows you to relieve stress at any time by revealing someone else's secret, or gain stress by blackmailing. It's very convenient to safely activate bonuses depending on your stress level.

Diligent, temperate and zealous. Can’t go wrong with

Temperate is still my favorite because it's one of the only traits with no drawbacks and the only trait that gives a flat health bonus. It's so easy to live to 80 for a temperate ruler. It also allows you to go to feasts all the time without becoming obese since one of its hidden bonus is that it makes your character thinner (although this means your character can become underweight if you don't go to feasts).

Stubborn. Temperate. Those are literally the best
