A YouTube follower asks Dickey if he's open to add a fragrance-free line to his award-winning HAIR RULES products, but he also talks about the pros and cons of all-natural products and products that aren't 100% natural.

It's an enlightening discussion especially if you've been indoctrinated that all-natural is always better than not.

I use to use all natural hair products while eating a greasy McDonald's burger and using toothpaste which wasn't all natural. I learned to use what works best for ME, and stopped being a natural hair ingredient snob

I try to use all natural ingredients but my hair tangles so badly, those ingredients don’t keep my hair from breaking off which means I can’t retain length. When I use silicone in my products my hair detangles and I don’t have as much breakage which means I see growth. Which leads me to the question is using silicone in our hair products really that bad for the hair? Would like for you to shed some light on this. Thanks

I have always wondered why going natural meant only using natural products? When I straighten my hair natural products aren’t helpful in this Florida humidity. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I would love a fragrance free line as well. I really liked the product on my hair but whatever scent is in there albeit subtle caused migraines for me as do most products. I think a huge misconception is that if a fragrance is light or dissipates that it won't bother people. Those types are just as offensive as the really perfumey brands. Just a little input from someone who suffers badly and has a hard time finding suitable products. I'm not an ingredient snob anymore except for things that I'm allergic to. Can't wait to see what's on the horizon!!

Most natural hair lines I’ve tried have very strong fragrances. They make me sneeze and get headaches. I have very dry hair even frequent co washing.

Hi Dickey you trimmed me early in my journey, I would love to use your products but avoid glycerin as my hair doesn’t hold in high dews with curly whip which was used when I came in. Any chance you’d put out a humectant free styler?
