I’ve been putting this project off long enough! It’s time to plan and create the faux wood beams I’ve always dreamt of in my apartment’s bedroom! In part one, I will be planning and buying all the materials, creating the beams (measuring, cutting, constructing, sanding, staining, etc…), as well as hanging the first beams!

Part Two will go into how I turned the final beam into integrated bedside lighting!

My heart always does a scared little jump when I see you standing on the ladder because I personally am afraid of heights too and I always fear for other people on ladders too. I was surpised to hear you say here that you're afraid of heights too. You do do very well on the ladder!

This looks so good! I saw a tip on another channel to caulk along where the beam touches the ceiling. She did it and it looked much more real, like it was coming through the ceiling instead of placed on the surface of it.

I applaud you on accomplishing this task by yourself. A project like this would normally require at least two people.
