My bts LOVES rose petals. Rose bushes are super easy to grow, and you get more flowers than with a hibiscus. Your diet is exactly what I do for mine, but I use the canned instinct for small dog breeds.

Great video! My blue tongue Bart also loves blueberries, he'll eat them even before his protein. I am a little careful with Paté just because when I scoop it out and mix the veggies up he'll try to eat the entire thing instead of taking bites out if it. And I love that clip at the end, my dog also gets so jealous when I feed my skink!!

One of the easiest and a overall healthy vegetable option is to buy Healthy Herp and rehydrate the veg, you then mix that into your dog or cat food. My skink loves it never has had a issue, give them a small amount fruit once every week or two

I use the raw dog food for my skinks and tegu as well and my tegu especially loves it! I also feed the high quality wet dog food to my skinks (zignature, Merrick), these get mixed with greens and sometimes fruit.

Thank you so much!! I just adopted my BTS Rose. From your videos I found out she is Indonesian and wild caught. Which I didn’t know until I noticed she was super timid and would hiss when I tried to handle her. The reptile store never disclosed a lot of care information so I’ve been trying to learn on the fly because they told me the wrong kind and everything! You’re videos are a life saver!! I still love her regardless but now I feel more prepared to take care of her ❤

People always think it’s so much more work because of the variety, but it’s truly enjoyable for me at least to see my bluey trying more things and knowing they’re eating properly. I would place it as medium difficulty because of the trouble many have getting them to eat greens 🥬, but creating the variety is not as daunting as it seems

My blue tongues are spoiled they don't care for the instinct raw dog food. I make my dogs own food and they like the raw recipe I use for that.usually they are all about quail eggs as well as snails or applause cat food

Amazing video! So clear and easy to follow, I greatly appreciate it. This has allowed me to feel I could actually manage the diet of a BTS. It’s been very intimidating, and has kept my S/O and I from getting the BTS in the pet store we frequent. I’m going to watch this through with him and then we’ll have the conversation again about getting that skink and maybe it will be yes :)

I want to try what you recommended but in the ingredients it says it has spinach and you just said not to feed them that. Also, I thought you are not supposed to give them seafood/shellfish but it has salmon oil? Are these low enough where it doesn't effect them? If I feed this to my bts should I add calcium on top since it has spinach?

hands down favorite food of my little Keyensis blue tongue(around 6 months old) is a gutloaded Dubia roach dusted in calcium pouder. Not sure if the gutloading is something he really cares about as I haven't fed him a hungry roach yet but he won't eat dubias without the calcium smell and white look
