All of the actors need to get awards. They nailed the mannerisms of the people they were playing to a tee.

This might have been the first moment where we saw just how _special_ The Rehearsal was going to be... Nathan rehearsing himself in a fake version of Kor's flat was fun, the fake bar was really impressive, the actress stalking and impersonating Kor's teammate was whacky, and taking Kor for a walk to learn the quiz answers ("It's on days like this I curse the Chinese for inventing gunpowder") was hilarious, but this scene was the first time we caught a glimpse of how Nathan was going to twist the concept of the show to go somewhere else entirely... fantastic.

This scene is so genius, you’re led from the trailer and the first episode that this show would be like Nathan For You where he is helping other people but with this scene we start to see that the rehearsal is really about Nathan.

Such a perfect representation of anxiety, a scene that explains the whole show. We imagine the worst case scenario which prevents us from doing what we really want.

I was surprised it was only 6 episodes, but HBO picked it up for another season already. It's gonna be great, hope it goes for a few years.

So is the joke that Nathan himself had a rehearsal admitting to the dude that he told him the answers, and the actor getting angry made Nathan not want to tell the real dude, so he gives the compliment.

I got chills in this scene. Nathan is no stranger to playing different "versions" of himself, but I was unsure throughout the first episode whether he was doing the same in this series. And then this scene happened... and I became scared of this Nathan. And as a result, I became scared of Nathan.

There's a moment in a lot of media / stories I watch, where it feels like there was an original point of inception... like, the whole purpose of the idea, or the concept, was to get to a specific moment, and everything before it was meant to build up and approach that, until it finally gets to it. That's what this is to me for The Rehearsal. There's so much that this moment says about Nathan's character in this, that makes you unnerved and creeped out, but also understanding and empathetic to him. Wanting guaranteed happiness for everyone. Doing what he can to control every aspect to ensure happiness isn't left to chance. But running up against the fact that their inauthenticity strips these moments of meaning. This single moment provokes more thought about the concepts of fate, free will, and happiness then a lot of things. We want things to go our way always, but we don't want them to be handed to us.

And in the end, this Nathan has to just swallow this guilt. He has to keep it inside.

Maybe not the greatest, but one of the most gratifying moments

I think the sad part about this is I have been through this scenario. I lied to a good friend about something because I thought she wouldn't want to hear the truth. Just assumed to myself that hiding the truth would lead to a better outcome. In reality, she found out through my friends and expressed her frustration that I lied to her and she doesn't know if I would lie to her again or not.

In my head I thought it would be good, but I didn't consider her respect in the equation. I was overthinking too much and let myself feel shameful at the end of it. I picked this show up by accident because I watched the trailer and liked Nathan for you. Didn't know it will end up having me self-reflect on my actions alot.

I think the quote that hits home the most was in episode 4.

"It’s easy to assume that others think the worst of you. But when you assume what others think,
maybe all you’re doing is turning them into a character that only exists in your mind."

"The nice thing, is that sometimes all it takes is a change in perspective to make the world feel brand-new."

It alludes to the existence of Nathan’s own rehearsals and serves as foreshadowing for the future of the show and how it will focus more on Nathan’s own rehearsals.
