How I Read 200+ Books A Year | A Day In My Life

Hey ya'll! I often get asked how I read so much so I decided to film a typical day in my life. Please understand that I'm in a very unique and privileged situation and I know that everyone doesn't get to read the same way that I do. Remember that any amount of reading is great. Reading comics, picture books, and listening to audio does help me a lot.

Time saver: put bacon on a flat pan with a rim and put it in the oven at 350 degrees while you get dressed. Baby girl is cute. Hope u feel better Ash!

I felt it when you said reading is your coping and safe space. I am studying law and doing a masters at the same time, so my day is full of reading. However, I have to audiobook on my commutes or read on my kindle during the week and then time block an hour of reading a day before bed. Sometimes I’m like yes I love what I am studying but why can’t I just read all day 😂😂

Girl, there is no shame in routine. I couldn’t live without a routine during the week. Lol. I love listening to audio books as well. Since, I’ve had my daughter it’s been a challenge to sit down with a physical book. Reading is my wind down time as well.
Btw, the bacon at the beginning had me changing my whole dinner plan! Lol

This way of organizing your reading makes way more sense than whatever I have going on, lol. I just fit reading (manga and fanfics) everywhere (on commutes, while eating, before getting out of bed, before sleeping). But for books, I have to have it in my calendar - especially for reviews. When it comes to webcomics, I read those during the weekend.

Your daughter is so cute! <3 I read like 200 books a year by also doing a lot of audio books. I have a 2 hour commute. I cook and clean and do some of my more data type work things while audio booking. Then I also put an hour into my day for reading books usually before bed.

I feel lucky to have the time I have to read--usually audio during my commutes and eyeball-books the last hour before I go to bed, plus a few extra hours on the weekend--though I do wish I could read faster. There were several years of my life when I was reading virtually nothing at all, so yes--any amount is great!!

The little one is so adorable!! On the reading point, i gotta agree and say I also use audiobooks more compared to physically holding a copy. If I'm not doing anything important that requires my attention, I'll have my audiobook playing in the background or on headphones as I move about the house. Eventually, you just realize you've read more than 100 books and you've reached your reading goal for the year!
(Most of the time I'm reading comic books or manga, and realized I rarely add it into my Goodreads. So maybe I should start doing that lol)

This video was really cool. I really struggle with audiobooks, because I can't stop trying to picture what the reader looks like and I can't pay attention so I read mostly paper books and digitally, on my ereader.

I read 100 books for the first time last year but some of that was because my city was locked down for nearly three months due to our Delta wave. I think reading was my comfort zone as well so I just seemed to fly through books. You don't need to explain keeping mother and daughter time private, I'm sure everyone understands completely (and too bad if they don't).
