Thanks for taking ownership of your mental health challenges. Great way to lead by example. There is no shame in having a mental or a physical ailment. The only shame is in refusing to own it, treat it, and be the best you can be.

I remember the last time I was in college the dean of students told me not to openly talk about my mental health and the struggles I have with it to other students. I grew up being told to never ever reveal your mentally sick in any way. I'll be locked up, no one would ever hire me, I'll be a lone forever. I was trying to break out of that cycle but that talk sent me into a horrible spiral. I'm still reeling from it and it's been over a year. I have nightmares about socializing and going back to school. Even daydreaming will turn into those nightmares.

2021 was the hardest, darkest time of my life. I was physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually BROKEN. But now I feel genuinely GRATEFUL and BLESSED that I had to go through that phase because GOD has graciously REVEALED Himself to me in miraculous ways. I am fortunate that He allowed me to know Him at a very young age, but this year is SPECIAL because of what WE (yes, GOD and me) have been through last year. He showed me how POWERFUL prayers truly are when I started to focus on WHO HE IS rather than who I am, on WHAT HE CAN DO rather than what I deserve. The experience was MAGICAL. He showed up BIG TIME and assured me that HE is indeed a LISTENING and RESPONDING GOD. Oh how my faith has skyrocketed as a result! Now more than ever, I have very bright HOPE for my future because I personally experienced how RELIABLE God is. And for that I will forever be grateful. GLORY BE TO GOD, MY EVER FAITHFUL FATHER. ♥️♥️♥️

To everyone who's struggling right now, please know that GOD LOVES YOU. He wants to help you and give you peace. Please surrender your burdens to Him and allow Him to move in your life.

"Because he loves Me, ” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges My Name. He will call on Me, and I will answer him;  I will be with him in trouble,  I will deliver him and honor him." (Psalm 91:14-15)

Please hold on to this bible verse because WHATEVER GOD SAYS, HE FULFILLS. 🛐

A thing that I always hate is how the first thing people say when you open up about depression and anxiety is "but why?" Such an annoying question....

There is shame for mental illness!! There is no cure, and every day is a struggle just to get through. The only thing that keeps me going are those days when I get a little relief and a few moments, hours of peace. Don’t let anyone tell you there is a cure there isn’t. Depression is a very lonely disease!

Try meditation and chakra healing, it has the power to completely change your life and get rid of most if not all of your anxiety/depression.

The stigma is real, it's not just your own shame. On two ocassions I've openly admitted to coping with depression in both cases I was let off from my job almost immediately even though there's no proof prior to that which showed it impeded my work in any way. I still remember the few times I've had to goto a GP, even with my psychiatrist they always remind me to keep it private, the stigma itself perpetuates within the medical industry.

Even cultural differences, both my parents just do not understand that mental illness can be a thing. It was hard talking to them about it and I gave up quite early on since highschool. My fundamental understand is those who have not suffered or still suffers from depression etc just simply does not understand and to them it just feels like a 'mood' they just can't relate or fathom what's it's like to be frustrated at your own brain and saying out loud "life would be a lot easier if I just didn't exist" and actually finding real comfort in those words.

On the upside, most people can relate to a feeling depressed. A lot of the talk is about opening up but I highly suggest people to open up to the right people such as your therapist etc. Sometimes even the people you rely on can't handle it but just remember it's just because they don't understand it, not truely knowing how you feel doesn't mean they won't be there to support you and to be supported is to reach out in the first place.

when depression/ psychotic events are long term and pills fail to treat it - depression/ schizophrenia / chronic fatigue could be down to the instability of head so called craniocervical instability. If you are hypermobile ( check what Beighton scale is) then more than sure your ilness is down to it. The best option is to buy cervical collar . Aspen Vista seems to me be the best. Please, please check what EDS is and what craniocervical instsbility is. Due to poor oxygen levels, depression, schizophrenia occurs and pills do not help.
