Cant wait to make this soon for me can i use mushrooms or tofu or tempeh and vegetable broth i never had pan fried duck with plum sauce before perfect for my after office meals

OMG Tatyana! This looks incredible! I think I'm going to dream about it-and so simple, yet elegant! I can see why you would serve it to company-this could be a meal for a presidential party. The garlic, the thyme-I would not have thought of the rosemary-with some green beans or some roasted Brussels sprouts-what do you think? And the sweet potatoes really are the better partner. I only have smoked or roasted duck breasts occasionally, in buffets and restaurants.
And plum sauce sounds special, as it gives a sweet tasting, similar to an apricot.
Best match with mashed sweet potatoes.

Great technique. Is amazing how many people put oil and ‘fry’ the duck i a hot pan.

Cold pan, no oil, before you’ve even blinked there’s enough fat to do everything.

I put a whole duck on the smoker last summer. Turned out like rubber. Went straight into the garbage. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
