I used to catch snakes as a child and sell them to a pet store that specialized in reptiles. We got a $1 for each banded water snake and $2 if they where young and small ! Water moccasins are brutal in that it's the only species of snake that would actually chase you if disturbed ! I've seen it a few times and it was funny at the time seeing my friends running from a little ol' snake. Luckily we never died ...only by the grace of the Good Lord above !
