If anyone knows about skunks plz answer this question. A few years ago back when i used to live in an apartment complex. It was around 6 am i was outside and a bunch of skunks were across the street. I saw one that ran across but i didnt see where it went. All of a sudden it came around the corner from the side and it was staring at me hissing at me . There were no babies and not even a nest around by me. It stomped its little foot, didnt turn around, didnt lift its tail. It just starting hissing at me and it moved forward a little bit in a lounge motion . I backed away slowly, didnt make any fast movement, didnt walk towards it, i looked in it's eyes and it looked in my eyes like ya go away. I got inside in the apartment front door without getting sprayed. My question is why did it hiss at me when i wasn't bothering it? It was bothering me cuz it came by me i didnt go by it.
