HOW I MEMORIZE SCRIPTURE - memorize whole books!

Hey Friends! Here is how I have been memorizing scripture lately... AND IT HAS BEEN A GAME-CHANGER! I cannot take credit for this method - I learned it from a good friend of mine who is a missionary! She inspires me and is DEDICATED to storing scripture in her heart!
I have found that memorizing scripture is LIFE-CHANGING because it is storing God's LIVING AND ACTIVE Word in my heart - and when it is in my heart, I have it ALWAYS to turn to. If you memorize Scripture, the Holy Spirit will bring up God's word throughout the day to sharpen, correct, train, encourage, and comfort you. MEMORIZING SCRIPTURE should be one of our highest priorities and disciplines as we grow spiritually!

This method really works!! I’ve used this method to help me memorize Psalm 1, Titus 2, and Ephesians 5. I’m currently working on memorizing 1 Peter 3.

I read whole books over and over, (i.e. the gospels), not trying to memorize every scripture but asking the Holy Ghost to help me get them in my spirit and soul so I can live them. Txs for sharing.

I joined the challenge to memorize the book of James last summer! I needed more time than just the summer, but now I have the whole book memorized! 🎉💕I was very shocked by the fact that I managed to do something like that, because I had tried to memorize a psalm before and failed. God really helped me through it <3. Videos from your channel and others helped as well so thank youu!🥰

This is a great method! When I was young, I was able to memorize scripture very easily. This isn't the case for me anymore. I'm getting much older and memorizing anything is really hard. Thank you for this today!

Amen! Also on a random side note for those who deal with anxiety too, memorizing scripture can help to be a go to to help equip ourselves throughout the day. Memorizing some key verses to be my go to to repeat back to myself when I am anxious are; philippians 4 6-7, joshua 1:9 and isaiah 41:10. Prayer, grounding exercises, slow breathing and repeating scripture are some of many ways to alleviate anxiety thru the day. Also, I never heard of this method before but it sounds great and super effective <3 ! :) Great vid

Memorizing the whole book really makes sense as you explain to avoid taking Scriptures out of the context

This seems like a great thing to save in the notes app of your phone too. Since it goes with us everywhere, you could practice while waiting in line or instead is scrolling social media

I love this method! I’ve used it ver years and it’s how I memorized Isaiah 53 and other entire chapters. My issue with memorizing individual verses was that i would get the references confused. It was easier for me to just remember book and chapter than individual verse numbers.

This is so cool. I’ve been using this particular method of Bible memorization for years now. My dad taught it to me and he learned it when he was in Bible school years ago. I’m actually working on memorizing Romans 1. 8, 12 and then James is next !!! I posted about it on my IG page and tagged you in those posts. What’s funny is many of my friends have never even heard of this method of Bible memory till I shared it on my IG page.
