I had a prayer partner for about 12 years, and we met for 3 hours every Sunday to pray. She started going to seminary, and one of her assignments was to memorize the whole book of Ruth. In all those years of knowing her, we had never once discussed memorizing even one verse. So when she said Can you follow along to make sure I don't miss any words. I was so confused, but then after she finished the first chapters, she continued on reciting the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th chapters!
She was able to memorize word-for-word without a single mistake! 😮🎉
She was taking always taking 3 courses, so there were alwaya papers she had to submit almost weekly. All while she was working 40 hours and doing ministry. She never once complained about being tired or overwhelmed. I had a whole new level of respect for her!

This is way too cool of a method for memorizing scripture. I _love_ it. I'm gonna give it a try. Thanks Josh for uploading this video.

I don't disagree with what he is saying, but for most, memorizing stories is not what most Bible memory is about. Most of us want to memorize promises, truths, commands, etc.... Incorporating stories would not work very often for these.

Which version? Catholic? Protestant? KJV? NIV? Which one?
