Trust me, I did this today with 7 - 9" diameter logs THIS did NOT go smoothly ... and I used a diablo blade lol. Could also be a tool difference I used the Ridgid Brushless recip w/ a 4 ah max output. The amount of kicking and vibration you get with wood this tough is a hard pass. Use a splitting maul with a hammer if needed or of course CHAINSAW MASSACRE IT. Trees around me are as hard as steel and the bark is like rubber, your axes will bounce off and in the end all you hurt was your back.
