One handed reciprocating saw!

Took this video a while back when the DeWalt Atomic 20volt one handed reciprocating saw came out. I still really like it and pick it up over the traditional recip saw every time. #dewalt #dewalttough #recipsaw

One handed reciprocating to use both hands

Great! Nice cut, that is why you use both hands and knee.

Thanks! Almost took my saw back to the store because I didn't think it was the right tool. Your video showed me it's the right tool but wrong technique ( operator error) 😊. All of my wood pieces are now cut thank you!

Never been disappointed with dewalt tools. Very satisfied. Ryobi not so much. Don’t get Ryobi power tools unless you’re not going to need it more than once or twice a year. Then it makes sense to go cheap but if you are the type that likes to do weekend projects then dewalt is a good choice.

I have the Milwaukee version and absolutely love it. Anyone giving negative comments obviously hasn’t used one.

I normally use a mitter, table or circular saw for cutting 2x4 in that manner

I would use a zawzall/reciprocating saw for cutting nail embedded 2x4 studs, 2x4s to make the door entrance, Cutting PVC/metal pipes and occasionally making holes in cabinets for room for some pipes

Most plumbers use a reciprocating saw for mostly cutting metal/pvc pipes so it would be nice to see how it stacks to the other brands & or is the trade off for power is well worth it

Disclaimer: Two hands were used in the making of this video

I like how everyone is saying he's using teo hands when he only has his thumb on it as a guide. A full size standard recip doesn't really let you have 4 fingers on the wood and get a straight cut 😂. And then those complaining about the knee like you're not supposed to steady the board 😂

With a good blade any decent saw going to cut good

It was 17% slower than I had anticipated so I rewatctched it at 125% speed and it still seemed too slow. I'm not saying I'd never purchase this revolutionary device but I'd lower my expectations 35%.

That was a job for a miter saw. At the very worst a circular saw. Not a "one" handed reciprocating saw.

I wish the Milwaukee 12v version had a pivoting foot

You used two hands mate. Also the Milwaukee's better!

Honestly though, that dewalts way more compact than the Milwaukee - too bad I'm already invested in Milwaukee 😔

Not bad if you don’t mind the end not being square

Looked like your thumb was doing most of the pressure so no it's a 2 handed

Morons in the comments. It’s one handed depending on what you do with it. For example cutting pvc in a crawl space. For plumbers these are goat, then I use both hands when cutting studs out or what ever.

Like a watered down Sawzall.
Why use this when you gave circular saw and sawzall?

🤔 wonder if it bounces around when using one handed?

The only reason why it cut fast was becuase you used a Milwaukee blade

As if it wasn't obvious enough that DeWalt sucks, you're using a Milwaukee blade. Priceless. That's why I've got 20 grand worth of Milwaukee Tools and not even a blade made by DeWalt!
