im glad someone talked about the blowout with the nail gun. I unfortunately had a blowout with my nail gun and it hit another nail or something, but it shot out of the side and went right through my thumb and out the middle of my thumb nail. I gotta admit it did look wierd with a nail sticking out of the middle of my thumb nail.

I would only add one thing. Before cutting any miter use a protractor to accurately ensure the corner is 90 degrees. I have a digital that works great. I just corrected a doorway that was 3/8" out of square a few weeks ago. The old rule still applies. Measure twice, cut once.

I have seen some videos saying you need a 16 gauge finish nailer to install casing. I am trying to figure out what to buy, a finish nailer or a brad nailer. Is a brad nailer sufficient to trim doors?
