2018 Hyundai Sonata | First Drive

The more that I look at this car, This doesn't look like a "face lift" or "refresh", This looks closer to a redesign. The front looks meaner and closer to the current Elantra.

Just seen one of these for the first time on the road yesterday & I wasn't impressed.. The best looking Sonatas were from 2011-2014

Great looking sedan, but only so-so MPG. Not a fan of the way the Camry looks, but it's getting a nice MPG boost for 2018.

I just got my 2018 sonata sel trim. Love mine! Looks and drive great. It has tons of tech and safety features. Also am I the only one who thinks this reviewer looks like jorah mormont from game of thrones?

Seen one on the road in person today. A white Sport trim and it actually looks really nice in person. Good job again Hyundai. I don't think it's worth trading up for it though. The 15 thru 17 Sonatas still look great and are underrated as hell that's why Hyundai redesigned it because they lost major sales on the Sonata the last 3 years.

The 2015-2017 looks much better than this one. I have a 2016 and it is wonderful!

I just Drove this Limited Sonata and came off very unimpressed and not because I am a snob or rich man but because the car did not sing to my soul at all from behind the wheel as far as interior design goes. And the Black was way to much with almost NO contrast. The ride wasn’t to bad, but after driving the Malibu, and the Impala LT for the same money IMPALA LT was $34K but got it down to $25K then had buyers remorse the next day when I seen the one I would of bought on the lot if it would of been out in front. Anyway, you can’t beat the GM ride and quietness in the car!

Nice job, Hyundai. Has a lot more sporting personality that the new Camry, which frankly, is hideous and trying way too hard. The Sonata looks downright classy in comparison. The new 2018 Accord is going in a very different direction. Trying to be more sedate and upscale. So for anyone that previously thought the Accord was a sport sedan (haha), you'll be disappointed. I personally like the more mature look. Hyundai is coming out with so many nice, attractive cars, I don't know which one I would want!
