Videos allegedly show the Labour councillor telling a crowd in east London that far-Right demonstrators needed their "throats cut". He is also alleged to have compared them to Nazis, adding: "We need to get rid of them all."
He was later arrested by the Met Police before being charged. The Dartford politician pleaded not guilty on Friday at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

Ricky Jones has denied encouraging violent disorder after controversial comments made at a protest during the UK riots sparked fury.
Videos allegedly show the Labour councillor telling a crowd in east London that far-Right demonstrators needed their "throats cut". He is also alleged to have compared them to Nazis, adding: "We need to get rid of them all."
He was later arrested by the Met Police before being charged. The Dartford politician pleaded not guilty on Friday at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
At the time of the alleged incident, a Labour spokesperson said: "This behaviour is completely unacceptable and it will not be tolerated."
Reform UK leader Nigel Farage had called for Mr Jones to be arrested after the video went viral on social media. The case will go to trial at January next year.
