My Wife and I stayed at that hotel a few months ago. We had a spontaneous Disney trip and we’re desperate for a hotel. To be short this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Multiple stains on the walls and furniture, the tub was broken in multiple spots, everything was outdated in the room, and to top it off…. The door did not lock. We had to block the door at night because it was pretty sketchy at night. 0/5 stars. This place needs to be shut down and updated.

It was hilarious for us when you chose to review this hotel because we experienced all this first hand.

She should check her belonging for bed bugs. Years ago I went to a hotel and brought some back with me. Since that time I've ALWAYS checked the reviews because I would have avoided that hotel because other guests had the same experience. Also, the Florida Project is a really good movie. Willem Dafoe got an Oscar nomination for it and really deserved it.

She absolutely needs to contact her credit card company and dispute the charge. The fact that they "cut her a deal" and only charged her for 2 nights is ridiculous. That's not a deal. This is disgusting and the fact that she's not getting a full refund means they're taking advantage of her. I hope she leaves a bad review, and this 100% deserves to be posted on every social media platform so that nobody else makes this mistake. I'm with you, the health department deserves a call.

Showing off property hotels would be a brilliant video for us who travel from out of town. Speaking with my wife it would be horrid to travel from England and be stuck in such a hotel for 2 weeks.

Taylor is so sweet! I think she didn’t want to put anyone else out of their way so I’m glad you insisted and picked her up. Sometimes when our friends are being taken advantage of we get even more upset than when something happens to ourselves.

Ugh, that mattress- no matter what kind of hotel, 5 star resorts, disney hotels, all of them.... I always check for bed bugs, force of habit. I've had friends that lived that nightmare and it's awful. You are such a kind person to check up on Taylor. She's a good sport for sure. No matter what price you pay for a room, it should at least be clean. I can't believe it even has a 3.1 rating.

Also, knowing that there were cockroaches in one of the rooms is enough for me to need the hotel burned down. Absolutely vile and you'd never be able to get a good night's rest knowing you aren't alone in the room.

DUDE!!!! I booked the knights inn (from last Friday to yesterday) that’s like half a mile from there and there were roaches EVERYWHERE… I canceled and checked into the comfort inn that’s between this hotel and the knights inn. Got a full refund and all is well now. Also, Thomas said that it’s very common for the comfort inn to get people that refuse to stay at Maingate

It’s one of those things- you cannot go to Disney World and pay less than $100/night. I’m a father of 3, money is always tight and you can try to pinch pennies by staying at a cheap hotel, with the idea of “I just need a place to sleep, I’ll be at the parks most of this trip” but it comes at the risk of your health. It’s unfortunate, but it’s the truth.

Wow! This brings back memories. I stayed here back in 2004 when my family went inland for a hurricane evacuation. It was somewhat dated back then, and showing its age. It has been many things (it was Sheraton Four Points at the time). But honestly it looked exactly the same as it does in this video. Same furniture. Same wallpaper border. Same lamps. Same carpet. Just moldy and bug infested, and 20 years older! I am shocked that it hasn’t been torn down.

In Taylor’s defense, over seas a less expensive hotel does not automatically mean a gross hotel. Often it’s just clean but less frills. I wish we had more hotels like that here. Sorry Taylor had this experience.

Just by the thumbnail and title alone I knew immediately this was about the Maingate hotel, I stayed there for two nights with a friend's family back in 2016. Although it wasn't nearly as bad compared to now it was still a horrible experience. You're much better cutting days off from your trip and stay at a nicer hotel, my jaw dropped when Taylor said she booked 9 nights there

Yes, check out the non Disney hotels and give us the low down! I don’t think I’ve seen that series from any vloggers. Could be very helpful to families on a budget, helping them steer clear of the same disaster poor Taylor endured.

Automatically, my mind living in FL near a big city a hotel like that went to human trafficking. Wow! Thank you for looking out for her and others.
