With every trailer, I’m more convinced that the King is not a villain and the protagonist is the real danger here

I also agreed with what most are saying that it is a terrible idea to grant every wish, and thought that seemed weird in the trailer. What the trailer doesn't tell you is that people forget what their wish was once he has it under his "protection" so they can no longer pursue it themselves

Leader of a country has the power to grant wishes. Looks at everyone’s wishes to decide what ones to grant in order to not cause chaos. Makes sure no fucked up wished came true. Is the bad guy? What is someone wished for like genocide or what if someone wished for something seemingly good but would have horrible unforeseen consequences?

This line, I think, exemplifies the lack of quality this film has. As long as Disney grooms…as long as Disney destroys intellectual properties…as long as Disney flogs Walt Disney’s legacy, they will not get a dime from me.

I don't know how this movie will end, so I'm going to throw out this idea. The king only gives wishes that were a benefit. His apprentice thought all wishes should be given out. She views him as a villain and actively undermines him. She gives everyone extra wishes that makes things bad for the people. The king is able to rein things back to a good balance. He then either takes her back with using this as a good lesson to her. Or choosing to sadly flunking her as an apprentice to choose someone else. She is sad but is understanding and is his biggest supporter. gives a good message for the story and will probably not be done.

My 5 year old cousin got a doll of asha for Christmas and she kept dropping it down the stairs and saying “she’s dead” and I’m just going to say that she created a story better than the writers of this movie.

This is the kind of film that comes from a generation who never got spanked as a kid.

I get a lot of people are saying that the villain isn’t a villain because people don’t always get what they want, which is true, but what he was doing is making it so they couldn’t remember their wish which means they were locked away forever with no real purpose of existing at this point. It was also taking away the most important part of them so they changed as well. I get where the king is coming from where some wishes are dangerous and at a certain point, was protecting the people from a terrible wish, but he was also ruining everyone and turning them into someone there not.

It’s obvious from this trailer that the king is the good guy and the princess is going to be the evil destroyer of their society.
