This summer, you’re invited to Portorosso. Watch the new trailer for Disney and Pixar’s Luca and see the film June 18 on Disney+.

Set in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera, Disney and Pixar’s original feature film “Luca” is a coming-of-age story about one young boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides. Luca shares these adventures with his newfound best friend, but all the fun is threatened by a deeply-held secret: they are sea monsters from another world just below the water’s surface. Directed by Academy Award® nominee Enrico Casarosa (“La Luna”) and produced by Andrea Warren (“Lava,” “Cars 3”), “Luca” releases June 18 on Disney+.

So it's the opposite of Moana...
"Don't go near the water" - Moana
"Don't go near the surface" - Luca

If there’s one thing this world needs more of in the industries, it’s people who put heart into their work. It’s the reason Pixar has such a great reputation today. This film is definitely giving confident vibes and I love it already

Honestly, i'm a 30yo italian guy.. watched it in eng.
And I cried.
It reminded me my summer holidays when I was a kid, and those friends i made that i had to leave behind..
To me, Luca is special.
Thank you to everyone that worked on it.
Really, thank you so much.

I love when movies have their own unique look to them. Despite being a Pixar film it looks so unique and playful. Can’t wait to see it :)

i cannot express how special this movie to me is. it dearly reminds me of my two bestfriends in highschool. one is a soft guy with so much creativity, one is a girl who is brave and smart, and me the alberto lol. so were basically a trio. i was mindblown on how accurately it depicts our story together back in our youth, like how we betrayed each other and did stupid things. good old days

" Aight we solved depression with 'Inside Out'. We dealt with grief in Coco. What else do these millennials have?"
"Anxiety?"

I am 19 and I cried like a baby when alberto sold the vespa to afford a ticket for luca and sent him to study abroad. The last scene was very emotional during the farewell moment.
Pixar again didn't let me get disappointed.
I can't tell how much i love these plots and animations❤❤❤

Fun fact, the city is called Portorosso as a reference to Ghibili’s Porco Rosso
