I didn’t think I would have to say this but everyone is complaining about why I didn’t rescue him. Just so you know you can’t actually rescue him if you try to it will just continue on to the next phase of torture.

yeah i'll say Jason fate in the Arkham verse is so much worse than the comics, getting beaten up for the better part of an afternoon then dying is real bad, but two years of physical, mental and emotional abuse and manipulation is horrifying.

This would’ve been the last straw for me if I was Batman.

Being tortured for information you may or may not have is one thing, but being tortured for someone's pleasure is just a nightmare scenario.

Wow I never even noticed Jason had bad posture from all of the wire and sitting, amazing attention to detail.

He didn’t just have the goons dress up as Batman to beat him. He’d drug him with fear toxin and then have them beat the shit out of him until one day joker let him fight back and gave him the choice to kill them. And he did.

He's a tough one. Handle joker's torture over a year, before break and even be able to forgive Batman. Respect.

The lines from 5:45 to 6:34 are truly heart-wrenching and just... incredible. Troy Baker did such a fantastic job capturing Jason's pain and hopelessness through his voice... Joker has never felt like more of a monster than in that scene.

What’s very scary is the fact that after a moment he ended up being so twisted like the joker that he actually respects him referring to him as sir and being so easily willing to drop Bruce’s identity

I could’ve gone the rest of my life without actually hearing Jason being tortured in the VR game.

You’d think the world’s greatest detective would find him before a YEAR

In the animated series, at least Joker just hits Jason with a crowbar a few times, and (memory may not be right) Joker only kept him for a few days, then Todd managed to get out of the chair on his own when Joker left him with a ticking bomb and locked the door — though he still got caught in the explosion

That’s how Jason became RH in that iteration, it was far more forgiving

In the game, Jason’s kept with Joker for 2 goddamn years… Fucking hell, I don’t know how any human being is capable of handling that much stress, at that point your immune system and everything else would start failing you

I’m surprised Todd didn’t do some Godhand shit, even the emotionally distant Griffith only handled under a year of torture and was broken, yet Jason managed to be an anti-hero in the end, big props to him

This sent chills down my spine . Hearing Jason screaming and begging to stop was so sad. Not only did Joker break Jason's body but he also broke his spirit .

My sister once asked me, while watching me play the Arkham games, why I'm so into terrifying the Joker's thugs. When it came to Two-Face or Penguin thugs, I'd just knock them out, but I'd take my time to scare Joker's men whenever possible. Jason is just one of several reasons. Nothing we can really do to "break" the clown prince of crime, but the same can't be said for his men. Have them all panicking, like, endlessly.

This is why red hood is one of my favorite DC characters, he has a backstory that truly makes his terrible terrible nature seem excusable. Sure he's kinda a revenge filled killer after it all but there's a reason for it, being tortured for 2 years by THE JOKER is insane

And people still have the audacity to say Jason's backstory isn't “that bad”

Jason truly had one of the most horrific beatings and torturous backstories I've seen, holy crap this is dark.
