I think people are being overly worried on the whole idea

Like it all happens on device and nothing is sent to MS, (and if anything is sent, people can know pretty easily) also it ain't the first time actually, as back in Win10 Timeline was a thing until they removed the feature in a certain update

I know MS isn't exactly known for privacy, but that's something they may get in deep trouble in if they actually collect and see the screenshots from users despite the claims...

I am happy they've worked on the security and privacy bits. That was a sketchy start.

What about extracting data as JSON objects? What about performing repetitive tasks like checking on pricing at a password protected site? What about scheduling actions? I look forward to seeing MORE.

2:00 pressing OK after identifying a face is mandatory to prevent hackers from faceing when the user is off guard. please do NOT give ms idea to remove this ok thing. bloody users smh

This is such a nifty feature! I was impressed by how much security is improved compared to the day it was first introduced. It wasn’t really a complicated thing, it’s just an app capturing screenshots just like Google app does when Im launching it on my phone but in real time. I can already imagine people using this app to be much more efficient working with their documents and office work.

So Recall can be a use ful feature for the people wanting it. For others, just d'ont install it like any other app you don't need.

The funniest part is the Linux troll users. Why would you want to switch OS because of an optional app you don't like? You install every app in the world on Linux on only the ones you want?

And don't forget that non-Copilot+ PCs are not even compatible with Recall.

I'm running a Surface Laptop 7 (snapdragon Elite) with Windows 26120.2415, which is the build you are using, and I don't see Recall or can find any way to get it. I've tried the Beta and Dev channel and haven't seen it. Is there a trick to enable it? Do I have to be on Canary Channel?

I originally thought this would be a very memory intensive feature that would bog down the PC. but then when I thought about it a little. It is just screenshots of open windows that are hyperlinked to the specific app and location in the app. It is kind of simple for such an innovative feature.... privacy concerns be damned.
