It still sounds SO DAMN GOOD even without the lyrics

It’s an amazing song, it keeps up the tension and it has a really heroic vibe. And then the lyrics kick it up a notch and are really beautiful. And, where most of the vocal tracks for the game are showing us the nature of the bosses, this one could easily be a duet. With Raiden and Armstrong both at the zenith of their arc (tho Armstrong has been at that point the entire time) they’re both fighting to make the world a better place in their own way but they can never be on the same side.

It’s not even about good or evil anymore, it’s about who has the power to change the world and who has to let go. Kinda reminds me of Cannonball from MEGAMAN Zero 3, it’s an incredible theme that can’t just be any final battle, it’s special and personal to the characters involved
