1. Van Leeuwenhoek taught us about the tiny critters that live in stagnant water. Oops. Life will find a way.
2. Your animals will drink out of it so what stops bacteria (or mosquitos) may hurt them.
3. The pottery better have a glazed interior or the water will leak through the clay.
4. Breaking it will be a mess over the whole room. No hammers or children allowed.
5. Get a big pot, inset shallow bowl. Make tiny pond with solar water spray feature. Think again and move it outdoors. Same problems but not inside your house.

Please dont give people ctapoy ideas. Add live plants, rooted plants will need 1, 5 inches of garden soil and 2 inches of play sand to cap it. Add Duckweed, salvinia, hornwort, vallisneria, hyacinth, java moss, amazon swords, crytocornes. Just to name a few easy plants to grow. You can put a lily in there if you'd like. Search up cycling a tank. Boom, no algae. Go to your local fish store for all the plants✌️
