If you use steam instead of covering them with water, you get the same cook time regardless of the number of eggs/pot/stove. The only variance will be your height above sea level which changes the temperature that water turns to steam. Add one inch of water bring to boil so that you are producing steam, add eggs, cover. at sea level... ~7min for soft boiled eggs ~9 for hardboiled.

I have an egg cooker and the measuring cup for water that came with the cooker shows how much water needed for soft boiled. I've only used the cooker once for soft boiled (or cooked) and many times for hard boiled....only I must have did it wrong, perhaps. It's been years since I've had a soft boiled egg.

Eggs are good and easy. I would fry a couple of eggs (over easy) a pit it over left over spaghetti for breakfast, or over chili over rice. The kids love it, it uses left overs, and it's easy. Somehow eggs make it breakfast.

remember that a 3min egg is at sea level. this gets longer the higher
you go . i live on the north downs of surrey aboujt 300ft above sea
level and a perfect soft boiled egg takes 4 mins 40sec aprox
