The soft close is definitely working. But to be able to close the door you must have the handle in the position with the level of the car. The first two times didn't work the soft close because the handle was not fully back in. 😅😊

Explanation:It looks like the door handle is a release which won't close in the open position, you need it flush with he door to close

Here's an idea. Take it into the shop and get it fixed. I beleive that's what most people do when their cars are not working.
