Telemedicine is simply medicine provided at a distance. Because there are so many names for the way technology is used in medicine - Telehealth, mHealth, ehealth, telehomecare, among others - GlobalMed prefers to use Connected Health as an umbrella term. Is it compulsory to aarange video conferemce call with the doctor in telemedicine?

Having a hard time so far finding out what kind of equipment and linkage from me to a doctor is required, where to buy it, how much it costs, and whether I need a professional to come in and install it. So far, it seems like one needs a small television so one can see the doctor on it. Everyone wants to talk about its history, etc., but to answer the basic questions, I'll have to keep looking. Maybe that is why so few people are using it.
