It's amazing how easy it is to mute strings when you don't want to and how hard it can be when you're consciously trying lol.

I like the way Justin teaches. Most Youtubers seem rushed for time but Justin teaches with patience. I appreciate that so much.

That Seven Nation Army riff using the power chords is a great exercise not only to learn the power chords, but to transition from the 10th fret to the second fret so quickly is difficult because not only are your hands moving up and down, but your fingers are coming closer together and farther apart depending on the direction you go. Educational, challenging, but fun! Great work Justin!

I never could understand what a Power Chord was. You did it man and a lot more. You are by far the best teacher I saw on YouTube!!!

My God! You are the man. Thank you, so much for this lesson. I totally suck at power chords. This is what the doctor ordered. Great lesson. I’ll be using this one a ton.

I came here to learn power chords, but I actually learned triad shape that can be moved around too. The utmost best guitar teacher, no doubt.

Picked up the guitar at 44 years old. Been self taught for just over year and recently found your courses. Started back at beginner one and every module is great. Thank you for the courses and I will definitely buy in once I finish the course. Molly's Lip's is actually by a brilliant band out of Glasgow and one of Cobain's favorites: The Vaselines.

Hello Justin, your course is just amazing it's been 4 months now that i started guitar and i'm improving day by day thanks to you.

I just wanted to share a QUICK TIP that i learned through my practice session: if you re struggling with a chord shape or a chord change or a song or anything, just practice it hard like for a week or more and when you feel frustrated just stop and move to something else, come back to it after a week or so you will find that you improved drastically at it or just mastered it.

i think that process gives your brain a time to rest toward that specific exercise and solidify your mind muscle connection to perform it.

like the gym basically u need to to have rest periods in between the sessions.

I'm not sure if it's really a thing but it works for me, hope this will help you guys as well.

It feels just like a one on one lesson, almost a private lesson with Justin, not just talking to the you tube masses. You certainly are a very good teacher…

Absolutely great instructional video. My instructor has been working with me on power chords, but I just wasn’t grasping it. You opened up my eyes to them in less than 1/2 hour. As you say in the UK, cheers mate. 🤘

You´re a great teacher. I watch your videos with my acoustic guitar and the help of youtube´s subtitles. So, at the same time learn to play guitar and learn English. Thank you very much. Greetings from Canary Islands, Spain.

Great lesson! Justin! I got my jazz chords down. My son is kicking my butt on power chords. And then I taught him palm muting, and regained my "Dad is cool" status.

Really enjoying getting in to power cords Justin, I’m a retired old guy (66) living the dream in Thailand, and up untill recently, stuck with the basic open cords forever ☹️.
I tended to play around with the guitar for a few weeks, then i might pick it up for 5 min every 6 months or so, mostly because I was bored of strumming c d g a f etc, and hadn’t come across a teacher like you.
Power cords 🎸🎼have got me in to jamming my new LP/ Yamaha thr10 with tons of great songs thanks to you Justin.
As others have said, your a great teacher, who doesn’t race through a lesson, or try to show off.
You have an easy going positive vibe, and a sympathetic understanding of the people learning these lessons.
Hey If I can offer a cheeky cool suggestion😎…if you don’t like baseball caps, I think you would really suit the 1920 Peaky blinder style cap, worn at a jaunty angle 🎸🎼🙏

Greatest music teacher I've ever seen! I've been following the free courses on the website, and I'll make sure to donate whenever possible, because you really deserve it!

Hi Justin. I was listening to Rob Chapman recently and something he often says is, use these lessons as a resource but dipping in and out when needed. I first came across this recording of yours, some months ago, but having learned a little more since, have returned and feel it is more aligned with where I am as a student, so probably also worth emphasising - you can't learn it all in one go. Thank you for all these great lessons
