Neurodiversity & Leadership:
What are the Best Practices and Common Pitfalls?
We’re living in an Identity economy, and the idea of effective leadership is shifting.
We are no longer going to work just to pay the bills.
We want our work to be meaningful, purposeful, transformative, and transcendent.
To be a leader that encourages, inspires, and motivates is a tall order, especially when you lead a neurodiverse team. As a neurodivergent, I and so many I know prefer to measure success in terms of autonomy, justice, connection, and truth.
Hi, I’m Dr Samantha Hiew, the Founder of ADHD Girls, a Neurodiversity Keynote Speaker and Trainer.
And I work to demystify neurodiversity.
My work bridges the empathy gap between those with lived experience of neurodivergence and those who don’t, so we work towards integration.
Why should you care? In the recent Neurodiversity at Work report, a staggering 78.7% of survey respondents were self-disclosed.
What this means, is... the majority of your neurodivergent colleagues at work aren’t disclosing their ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, Tourettes or others, and therefore aren’t getting the support they need to BE their best.
Now what happens when you put naturally high-performing, innovative, creative, intelligent, and perceptive people in a job where they aren’t feeling valued and belonged?
They want to leave.
So join me in my LinkedIn webinar, where humanise neurodiversity,
Sharing misconceptions, best practices & common pitfalls,
Along with tools to manage a mixed neurotype team!
My insights come from lived experience research with the neurodiverse community, I also have a knack for demystifying science of the brain and the ways humans interact with one another to create the relationships and culture we have at work.
Because if there’s one thing I can tell you it’s this.
With the rise in adults being diagnosed with ADHD and autism later in life, the neurodiversity movement is here to stay.
I hope you join me on the 13th June at 10.30 - 11 am Uk time!
