“When we help team members, students, and co-workers to become more of who they already are – retention improves, sales increase, academic success soars and your people win...Be a Mr. Jensen!"

Emmy Award-winning Keynote Speaker Clint Pulver helps organizations that want to retain, engage and inspire their younger workforce. Clint was named one of Business Q Magazine’s “Top 40 Under 40” for his work in helping corporations elevate their “WHY” of mentorship in the workplace and how connected and engaged employees yield loyal and long-term retention within organizations.

For over a decade, Clint has helped leadership teams diminish turnover, increase engagement and create an organization their people never want to leave. With a blend of humor, unforgettable stories, and actionable takeaways that stick, Clint convinces audiences on the power of “The Mentorship Effect,” and why some leaders create lasting loyalty and others don’t.

As a teacher who love his students so much and spends countless hours with them, encouraging them, trying to help them, feeding them sometimes, writing references for them, emailing home when they do something awesome, this video really hit home. Oh yeah, and my name is Mr. Jensen :)

Been teaching 20 years. The night before I started, I made myself a promise that I would be the sort of teacher I wish I'd have had when I was younger. And that's kept me in good stead all these years.

This made me tear up. I saw this while preparing to be a teacher and I truly pray to be one of a kind just like Mr. Jensen.

I admire how Mr Jen reacted, inspiring a student instead of punishing him, understanding the problem, and reacting positively, this is really amazing. I love being a teacher.

I'm 42, grew up with undiagnosed ADHD until a few years ago, and am a drummer. This made me bawl for about 10 minutes.

"You are not a problem..." "He was the best for the world". Shivers down my spine.

Clint is a member of a church I go to, a couple of days ago our church had an activity and we all got called into the chapel for something. We all walked in and got seated and they pulled up Zoom and Clint was on the other end. He told us that story. After the story, he pulled out his drum sticks and played an amazing drum solo for us.

I'm a Music Teacher. AS SOON AS he said he tapped all the time, I knew!!! Drummers NEED to tap!!! Certain traits and abilities are simply born into us. It is up to the adults around us to recognize those traits and abilities in us because children don't have the understanding and experience to do it for themselves. I wish identifying musical traits in children was part of all educators' training. I think there would be fewer "behavior problems" if it were.

The gift of an educator is the ability to see a child or young man/women gifts, and being able to have the vision to guide them to their full potential.

I raised a child who was always tapping his pencil, his fingers, anything to make a beat. However, his teachers thought he needed to be put on meds despite the objections of his pediatrician. I wish every little black boy is blessed with a teacher like this and a strong advocate like my son's pediatrician.

I conducted a training on last week for shift supervisors for an adolescent treatment facility. I showed this video to the team and asked the question, "Why was it important for me to show you this?" The first thing all said was "to make us cry" but it was what followed that was powerful. One of the supervisors stated the video was "an important lesson for supervisors not to react so quickly with the conclusion to fire a direct report when a situation is contrary". The team left the class experience empowered to show more patience towards others and shifting solution of an action plan of support and training before giving up. Thanks for assisting in getting this point across. This was beautiful.

This is our James!! Every report conference we would hear, “James doing great, but he constantly drums his pencils on his desk”. 💙

I’m watching this videos and in my head I’m like ‘he’s a drummer, he’s a drummer’ not really knowing where this video was going. I was floored (and cried) when Mr Jensen asks his one question. How lucky! How lucky for both of them. The world would be a better place if we could all find those moments to help each other, for now, for life

As a former student, I am glad to see you succeed and taking the advice for real and using it for your own benefit
And as a teacher, I think the world needs more of Mr. Jensen. His compassion and caring to help made a difference in your life and in return you did a difference in others life and it goes on
Wish you the best of luck

I have chills right now. I am a speech therapist and I have several children that exhibit behaviors as you did as a child. Your former teacher stands out from the rest. I hope he knows how he made a difference in your life. I wish more were like him! Many blessings to you! Thank you for sharing.

This made me cry because as an educator, I have seen first hand students who have excess energy punished and it just makes the school experience so negative. I am so happy that a teacher helped him channel his energy into something that allows his tapping to becoming something that others can enjoy! Thank you for sharing.

I hope his message gets out to every new aspiring teacher. Children are never "the problem" - children react to the problems that surround them. It's important to find that source and then help the child to find the right remedy for the situation. Mr. Jensen was a genius of a teacher. Wish there were more of them.
