Thank you for this by the way. I've heard of AI rental rigs, but this wasn't really on my radar until I saw your videos about this. I have two rigs that were doing basically nothing and now they are making some money.

What I did to prevent my Nvidia GPU from going crazy is limit the power: nvidia-smi -pl xxx, where x is the max power for the GPU. Running nvdia-smi without args tells you the current power limit. You also cannot use RDP to access the system, as that seems to confuse the heck out of Salad.

I am testing 5 single GPU rigs. 4 with 4090s and one 4080 Super all with mining disabled. They are definitely grossing 2x-5x more $ than they currently would be traditionally mining. I am still working out the profitability numbers. The power draw is considerable.

i installed a fresh windows 11, salad got a job but i cant see wsl container in task manager. am i missing something?

if you have a container you will have vmmem running in processes in task manager and it will be using a lot of memory

I found that performance of RTX2060s is basically the same as 3060 8gb and about 80-100$ cheaper.

When I tested the salad, I don't know why after a few hours of work a message appears that I don't have enough VRAM on the cards. I tested 3 machines. 2 machines with 7950X CPU and RTX 4090 on each of them and the 3rd machine with 7950X CPU and 2 RTX 4070's. All three machines with 32GB of RAM. I have reduced the power to 67% on all three, I wondered if it was short of VRAM because of that. But at 100% power, the video cards work at full speed, so I reduced them. And the processors didn't have any load and my question is, isn't it better to turn the CPU's off and use them to mine elsewhere. Otherwise, the income that the salad brought me was equal to the income of a Warthog that uses the processor and the video card at the same time. Also salad pays with dollars not crypto which is the other inconvenience especially if you believe that cryptocurrencies are yet to rise. Thank you!
