There's absolutely no shame in losing to a 911. I've no idea why people get so upset, Nissan or Porsche don't owe you a damn thing.

And let's be frank, most of us here wouldn't even have the driving skills to get the most out of these cars capabilities.

Porsche looked a handful to be honest i think in normal drivers hands it would be easier to extract performance from the gtr

A fairer test would do 10 laps in each car with the drivers swapping after five laps in each. Then driver ability would be mostly negated as a variable, but....I'm sure the fans of the losing car would claim something wasn't fair.

Man... that looked like they had fun! I love the GTR (and all the Skyline's before it) but the Porsche is ofc a little better... you usually get what you pay for...in the case of the GTR you get alot more then what you pay for...

At the end of the day, you cant go wrong with the GTR. It would all depend on who’s the better driver behind the wheel.

I've owned 3 911's & had one remapped which gave me 540 bhp in an 2003 996 turbo. The GT-R's would literally school me. Say what you will, the kudos is in owning a Porsche but beware of the incredible Nissans. They never cease to amaze me & I don't mind telling you I'm a Porsche fanboy.

Maybe I am a hayseed Australian, but why would you have a standing start drag race, a cornering 'g' test, and a 2 lap sprint, on a damp track? All that tells you in which one has the better rubber compound. By all means, have the contest and note the times, but POINT OUT the track is damp. Yes, the conditions may be the same for both, but the effects will not be. This is not really a straight or fair test of which is the better car or the quicker car in any of the 3 tests.

70k vs 125k hmmmm, GTR always being compared to Turbo S that cost almost twice as much. Someone who has money to buy 70k GBP car does not necessarily have money to buy 125k GBP car, these cars are not often crossed shopped. I find it funny the comment section is littered with GTR haters, makes you think who's really hung up on a nonissue

I haven't watched Fifth Gear much, but I'd be willing to bet that Tiff is a much better driver than the other guy.
