How to Add and Subtract with Variables

Imagine you have a math problem that involves more than one thing you don't know. Let's say you want to figure out how much money you'll have after saving for a certain number of months. You have two unknowns: the amount of money you save each month and the number of months you save.
To solve this problem, you need to use variables. A variable is like a placeholder for an unknown value. So, you could use the letter "m" to represent the number of months and the letter "s" to represent the amount of money you save each month.
Now you can create a math expression using these variables. It might look something like this: Total money = s * m. This means that the total amount of money you'll have is equal to the amount you save each month multiplied by the number of months you save.
By having these variables in the expression, you can solve the problem for different scenarios. For example, if you save $10 each month and save for 5 months, you can substitute those values into the expression: Total money = 10 * 5 = $50.
So, by using variables, you can represent and solve problems that involve more than one unknown quantity. They help you understand and find answers to different situations by giving you a way to work with unknown values in a math equation.

I am interested in a Degree in GeoChemistry (Geology with Chemistry). I understand GeoChemists use Statistics quiet a bit. I have never picked a Statistics Textbook.

How complicated is Statistics Please? Do I understand correctly it is less complicated than Calculus?

THANK YOU for your Excellent Explanations. I THANK GOD that I found you on YouTube!

Very easy. Sadly, this problem is beyond the capability of 99% of Chicago public high school graduates.
