As a Canon shooter I was planning to get a C70 but really couldn't justify double the money for working autofocus alone. I've only had the 6k Pro for a week but i've already fallen in love with the image. Agree with everything you said.

We had 2 Ursa's, 2 Sonys, and 1 previous 6K. We sold everything we had an opted for a couple of 6K Pros. It's a damn near perfect camera and we love it a lot.

Solid review man. Your videos are straight to the point, no unnecessary intros or ridiculous music. I love them man. Keep it up. For us, we are sticking with our C70 and C200 combo. If the C70 had an EVF I'd probably sell the C200 and buy two more C70s. Thanks man!

Even the fact that the P6KP is trading blows with a camera double its price point it's super impressive on its own.

It’s weird living on the other side of the US and seeing a video at a park I used to hang out at growing up.

I like the way you being precise to the core of the video - one of the finest and most perfect reviews I've seen in a while.

You: *”When you expose this way in the bmpc it’s no where near usable”*

Me: *laughs in GH5 😅*

I have actually been loving the crop on the 6k pro at 120fps.
For street videography you can get some very intimate shots without getting in people's personal space.
I know this is a limited use scenario but it's something that I adore when not working on client projects.

Yess, thank you so much for this video! I think the autofocus, speedbooster, full sensor 120fps and fully articulating screen would be what i would love to have for sure. It‘s good to know, that i would still be able to pull off most shots with the 6k pro if i can‘t fit the C70 in my budget yet. I‘ll keep saving up and see what projects come up but now am pretty sure i would be happy for a long time with either of those cameras. Thanks for sharing and putting in the work for this comparison man!!

Awesome breakdown man! I used the bmpcc 6k and was impressed by the image but didn’t like everything else it was lacking. Looks like they added those things into the pro. That c70 recovery was so impressive, that would be my choice along with the AF!

Thank you for this Griffin. What I got out of this video: For weddings, I can use my C70 as my main and get a MPCC 6k for a B cam.

Both cameras are awesome. I am shooting with a Canon R6 in the moment since I do a lot of photos too. Atm I am more focused on saving up on good RF glass, which I then can use on the C70 in a couple of years.

Great comparison dude! I am loving the P6KPro alongside my URSA G2, but thanks to you I still want a C70. Never ending I tell ya lol

I've been looking at both the 6K Pro and C70 as my "next camera". And this video has helped me get one step closer to choosing between the two. The price difference is significant. But, the one thing you showed with the C70, is that you can underexpose a shot and still get clean shadows. That's a pretty big deal, especially for run and gun scenarios, which is what most indie filmmakers like myself are looking for. And the 2-10 stops of built-in ND filtering is huge. As an owner of the BMPCC4K, you'd think it would be an easy choice. But, the C70 offers so many features, like autofocus, which is a major benefit when you need to grab that one last shot for the day. Thanks again, for this video. It was quite helpful.

The C70 is really impressive with its recovery.

I just rented a 6k pro for a film shoot.. completely blown away. Massive upgrade from the 6k, and honestly I am looking to buy one

Awesome video mate !! I think they are both amazing cameras, and it probably just depends on what you shoot like you said. Can't go wrong with either :).

Great analysis of the two cameras. Just rented the C70 on a wedding and the autofocus was critical along with the ability to punch things up a couple of stops with no loss of quality. If those things don't come into play for you, the 6K Pocket Cinema Camera does look like an incredible quality bargain. As we've all learned over the years, there is no perfect camera at a perfect price point. Many times, hard choices must be made.

The thing is that on the BM cameras if you want to have more latitude in the shadows you have to shoot in the second native ISO, but you'll lose latitude in the highlights, and you have to think about it before pressing the record button! The canon is really better in this situation

Excellent review man! I got the Pocket 6K Pro almost a month ago and I'm loving it, but as you wisely said, it's a camera that needs light, otherwise you get lots of noise even though having a dual ISO. I was in love with the C70 for a long time, then the FX6 came out and I changed my opinion, mostly cause its lowlight capabilities, but they're both amazing cameras. The 6K pro fitted on my budget for the moment! Thanks indeed!
