IPhone does a color correction computation that you did not on this example for the Canon. A quick tutorial would have taken that greenish look on the Canon and beat the iPhone miles away.

iPhones look "snappy" because of lots of sharpening and punchy colors - especially green, red and skys. That said, the time they are a changin' and the iPhone is more than adequate for many personal videos, demos and vlogs. Tell your client you'll shoot his commercial assignment with a iPhone and he'll still laugh.
