That Judgmental Person Whose Health Choices Make No Sense

It’s safe to say we probably know at least one person like this 😬

You are free to make the health choices you please. I’m not here to judge you for what you eat or drink or how you live your life.

Eat what you want.
Drink what you want.

However, I will be quick to point out hypocrisy from those who love to pass judgment onto others’ choices. ( @ most of the health and wellness industry)

I don't drink, so I thought the alcohol was hand sanitizer. 😭😭

I've often been fat shamed for eating the same exact thing that the person fat shaming me was eating lol.

I haaate these kinds of people and I’m straight edge, like the kind that doesn’t even drink coffee or energy drinks, only the occasional coca cola. Everybody makes their own choices and what feels good for someone else’s body doesn’t work for everyone.

😂 yup! I'm allergic to refined sugar, so I have to laugh (to myself!) about the no-sugar/but-yes-alcohol thing. Because even with the alcohol (carcinogen) itself aside, alcoholic beverages contain plenty of sugar.

I think it's rude to comment on others' consumption choices. But since people often view the existence of my own habits as implicit judgements against themselves, I often try to find an opportunity to make a validating comment (eg 'wow those look delish! Which bakery makes them so fresh?'). I don't want people to feel uncomfortable eating around me just because I'm vegan & allergic to sugar.
Edited for clarity

As someone who has been around these types of people, so true. "I'm gluten free because of GI issues." Proceeds to drink a ton and continue chronic dieting.

I’ve always been super strict with my diet. Not like out of discipline and hard work, just because I’m super sensitive to foods and I already deal with overstimulation issues on the daily. But I would neverrrr put my dietary goals on another person. We all have different bodies and different goals for them. I also never give advice without being asked first, because it’s so… mansplainy. I’m unsure why people think to do that. Even if they were trying to put themselves up and seem cool, are they not aware that humbleness is the more liked approach? They’re not even good at acting likable?

Reminds me of my coworker who didn't want the COVID vaccine because she didn't know what was in it.
She proceeded to drink two monster energy drinks.

Like people who refuse to eat seedless fruit but have no problem smoking, drinking and not exercising. 🙄

food is a religion for most people today and most love to try to convert others too
if someone talks to me about bad or good foods i simply think to myself: thank you but no thanks, i already have a religion that makes no sense no need for another one.

If you add that the person was pregnant you have a former co-worker of mine!
