I have plans to turbo my Miata. Watching this video basically tells me that I don't need an external wastegate for an engine that is only going to be making about 250 horsepower at the wheels.

Hey man, I am wanting to install a catless DP on my WRX, but I am scared of boost creep. What else needs to be done to convert from an IWG to EWG? I am upgrading my stock turbo to an STI one while doing the DP as well. Is it better to just buy a High Flow Catted Downpipe instead of trying to install a catless DP and converting to EWG?

Love this series. I have a MKV FSI as well. Do you guys plan on installing oil temp and pressure gauges on this car? What's the best/most reliable place to tap for a reading on this engine? Any sender and gauge recommendations? Keep up the awesome work!

is it of you want to use external wastegate, u have to take out the internenal wastegate and welding the 'flipper' in your turbo?

Nice video! i have a little issue with my Td04-19t on my saab 9-3. In 2nd and 3rd gear it does have 1.6 bar all the way up to redline (sometimes rarely it holds 0.5 bar when i floor it wich is base boost pressure) Yesterday i went for a top speed run and a 60-120 test but in 4th and 5th gear in high rpms is only has max 0.5 bar. Barely could get to 120 with 330hp at the crank. My previous setup had a T25 widh about 240hp which got to 150 mph and ideas?

Which internally wastegated turbo was the porsche (that blew the engine) using? Without being too blunt, if you don't or can't name the brand, it makes it hard to believe any successful products you might mention.

Hi, the actuator for my wastegate is not holding pressure. The wastegate flapper is shut closed. But the actuator rod does move and open the wastegate when I applied pressure to the actuator. The flapper has no play and sits tight. Can a stucked CLOSED wastegate flapper cause P0299 code. I am getting a P0299 with closed wastegate flapper. Is this possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

What happens if you don't connect the vacuum hose to the wastegate on that first turbo set up,

so if im aiming for 400-500 whp external is overkill or kinda a essential prevantative

Very common now since there going so small in litre size you need a turbo to make any power out of the motor ..
