Audi TT RS vs Porsche Cayman GT4 - Our WETTEST, GREENEST race EVER! | MOTOR

A record month of rain in southern Australia has caused the whole countryside to turn green, including our cars! The Audi TT RS and the Porsche Cayman GT4 PDK.

Sadly the rain did slow the cars down a bit, so no records were broken today, but they still ran fast and close in this head to head drag race. Sadly no roll race due to the wet track and how short it is, but hopefully this mini showdown will tide you over until the rains subside and we can get back to our traditional race programs.

Find out who comes out with the win, the TT RS or the Cayman GT4!

We’ve been arguing in the office and want to know, would you rather a turbo 5 cylinder or an atmo flat 6?

Big difference in price between both cars.

Be great to see a re-run on a dry road, that isn’t covered in an oil slick.

The TT RS would be a lot quicker off the line with PS4S tyres - trust me P Zeros are proper shit

I love it when the Porsche fanboys get upset that their beloved PORSHA! gets trounced. i love the TTRS.

This just shows people how important tyres are whether you've got awd or 2wd if your tyres don't like the surface your on it doesn't make a difference...

Southern Australia is NOT the place you want to be in for a drag race!! Hehe

Great videos though. Love the content and how you guys include the times at the end. You guys need to be more famous on YT.

I bought my ttrs about 4 years ago. I usually buy, tune and sell within 2 years, but the TT has kept me satisfied as I can’t find anything better (awd because I live in PNW) under 150k usd.

It’s odd to race in such conditions. The Quattro should win off the line every time, in the wet. And the camera angle makes it seem like the Audi was miles ahead. Really bad exercise.

Ive got a TTRS and you cant beat the Quattro vs rear wheel drive

The 718 GT4 Cup 2’s are essentially track tyres! You need PS4S in that condition. RS are nice, but not a precision tool like the GT cars..

This is exactly how my race played out. 981 Cayman S vs TTS. The porsche was ahead off the line without launch control (the Audi did use launch control). Then the Audi reeled me in. I was confused.

I think if it was on a better/dry surface the GT4 would have won

My Audi tt is so fast, by the the time some cars put into gear, it flies, it's much much quicker, porsche cars are always behind when racing with me 😂💙💙💙

Both very powerful cars, but the Porsche is the real deal.

All you Audi fanboys, you are making yourselves sound uninformed. Go look at any track times that both the Audi TTRS and 718 GT4 have run and in ALL OF THEM, the GT4 of WAY ahead of the TTRS. Also keep in mind that those 718 GT4 times are mostly the manual version, not even there PDK version.

Audi gets the nod in the 0-60 and tun-ability, but it doesn't have a chance in the corners. AWD doesn't help much when you have to deal with terminal understeer. GT4's also have much more adjustability for camber and toe settings as well, as well as functional downforce.
