That 67 firebird was in way better shape underneath than most cars I restore around the Massachusetts area. I feel as if your crew is just giving you more stress for no reason I wish I could work for gas monkey your crew is great but not when is comes to fabricating metals to save money and flip a car with double the amount you put into it. God bless stay safe

I had a 69 firebird in the early 70s i wish I could have kept ...It was a dark blue...kinda like a royal blue with a vinyl top and a 350 under the hood....and being a major Who fan of the time and still am ...I hand lettered
"Summertime Blues"
On the rear quarter panels....loved that car....

That kid Talkin at the 3-minute Mark doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground, these cars are getting rarer and rarer and there's plenty of aftermarket support to bring these cars back... my floorboards in my 69 were much worse and I completely replaced them the correct way, along with through the floor frame connectors and as far as the rot on the front frame is concerned oh, those are available in the aftermarket too... they know that, but this is just stupid drama to draw up ratings

I live in Scotland. Had a lot of cars in my time. The only one I miss is the firebird I had when I was eighteen.

My husband and I have not watched this show for years, now I know why. What a disappointment.

I thought the new format of the show wouldn't be watchable, but man I was wrong. I really dig it and look forward to new episodes.

I saw the episode where Richard takes the car as partial debt payment from one of the shops he revovated. The way the car driven by the shop owners girl friend just happened to show up while Richard was there tells us that Richard was set up to take the car in leiu of money.

Goes to show Richard doesn't know a damn thing about cars if he didnt even bother to look under the Chassis. If the bodies in good shape, the first damn thing i do before even hearing a car run is how the underside of the Chassis looks.

I just love it when Richard loses money! Just goes to show you how much he thinks he knows cars lol. I would never in a million years buy anything from this guy!

This video once again shows that Richard knows next to nothing about older cars

The structural integrity of a convertible doesn't rely on the floor. It relies on the rocker panels. What a bunch of dopes. As much money as that thief has screwed people out of through the years, he can afford to just crush it and eat the loss. And putting a timeline on a build is just TV drama.

This is the second clip I've seen of this show (ever) and it's just infuriating. I feel like every situation could easily be resolved with...
1. Doing a proper inspection before purchasing a car. I've owned multiple older sports cars from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, and that's like buying 101. You go over the car with a fine tooth comb or have a buyer's inspection. You don't just buy a classic car with no thorough inspection. That's the first rule!
2. Again, why are you setting up deadlines BEFORE a thorough inspection? That's like saying "Yeah, I walked around your basement for 5 min and think I can do a complete remodel in exactly 45 days on the day of your open house." No, you inspect things, look for hidden damage, or go over everything carefully and THEN give an estimated deadline that could likely change. The way the shop is doing it is only going to set them up for failure. This is the second time I've seen this happen with these clips (first was a Pantera). It's infuriating at this point because it's such an easily solvable problem.

All of these guys have clean soft hands. I don't know a mechanic with clean hands. This show seems fake.

Years ago, in 2001. I bought a 67 hardtop for $1800 running. Remove the nasty carpet then noticed the rusted out floor panels. You can literally see the road as you drive it! My friends called it the flintstones firebird 😂 years later repair it. Good times
