1:20 that's how you feel when you're the lead in two consecutive Best Picture films.

Birdman (2014): Batman (Michael Keaton) and Hulk (Edward Norton)
Spotlight (2015): Batman (Michael Keaton) and Hulk (Mark Ruffalo)
If you want your movie to be the winner of the Academy Award, you know what to do.

SO glad this movie got the recognition it deserved, a story that needed to be told. Bravo to the Boston Globe for blowing the door open on the abuse that was going on with in the Boston Church, more stories like this need to be told

Morgan Freeman could read a toddler's book and it would still sound like the most profound thing you've ever heard.

1:22 funniest moment in Oscars acceptance history. A Keaton fist pump and a 'Fuck Yeah'.

I am so happy that Spotlight won. Because it was an indie movie that didn't have money. The revenant and the big short had money and were Oscar bait movies since they beginning. But movies like room and spotlight were Indies that had little to no support in the beginning but gained it along the way because of their messages.

I remember how back in 2016, most people didn't even know that this movie existed. But now looking back at it, its easily one of the most deserving winners of the past decade

Just saw this film for the 3rd time last night.
I may have preferred The Big Short,  Mad Max: Fury Road, and The Revenant to win more.
I may have been more entertained by The Martian and emotionally devastated by Room.
I may have marveled at the subtle mastery of recapturing eras long gone in Brooklyn and Bridge of Spies.
But Spotlight...this victory is for the journalists who worked tirelessly and in often unsexy environments to bring justice to real-life stories that deserved to be told and known.
*What a fantastic end to the cinema of 2015!*

Spotlight is the most deserving film among the 8 to win Best Picture. It is the only film that has more meaning than the rest. It resurrected one of the mos horrific issues in modern times. Good thing that the Vatican recognizes it and recommended it to the priests.
