First video of Tesla FSD version 12.5.2 in New York City lower Manhattan and Chinatown. Still need some refinements, but really impressed. This will be the ultimate test for FSD. If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere.

As a driver who live in NYC. Chinatown is most difficult traffic condition in the whole US. FSD nails here nails everywhere. Keep it up, please

Fabulous! I've driven Chinatown NYC many times and it is super stressful, particularly negotiating instances like that left turn through pedestrian flow. Done plenty of hard braking of my own, so I'm not surprised the car did it too. What the car didn't do was hit the lady, so kudos to FSD. Just have to train the daylights out of the edge cases now. Thanks for taking the time to do this, Whole Mars has nothing on you!

becoming more confident about FSD's deployment in china after watching this video, most of the traffic conditions here in my city is better than the NYC.

Great video, very impressive but still some bad
FSD makes an illegal lane change in a tunnel 6:40
FSD doesn't know what to do when a road blockage is not pre mapped 20:15
FSD aggressively turns and stops last second to avoid hitting pedestrian 27:55
FSD requires intervention to cross busy intersection 31:55

New Yorkers are in way better shape than the rest of the country.

Dude that was impressive and that computer performed extremely well compared to Uber/taxi/TLC drivers

it's great test video showcase 12.5's capability to handle huge city traffic. As I lived in China, city drive like in NYC is very very common, so this kind of test is super important for FSD to get wide in Chinese market! Looking forward for more testing!

Manhattan, at night...in the rain...during rush hour..should be the ultimate benchmark of success. Not a lazy drive from from Palo Alto to a comfy home in the suburbs.

Eye opening about FSD! …. It might be safer to drive in NYC’s Chinatown by yourself than to rely on the FSD! … Kudos to you! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Excellent video! I would love to see more videos of FSD in NYC, especially crowded downtown areas.

Ok, wow. I've lived in NYC for 30 years, starting on the exact block on Elizabeth you just stopped on. FSD just navigated the worst NYC has to offer in terms of traffic, bad drivers, and clueless pedestrians and Citibikers. This is going to work! Bad times ahead for Uber drivers.

Wow, it seems to have some different driving style in NYC, like being relatively assertive dealing with pedestrian, and it is a good thing imo.

I swear there needs to be a NY/NJ mode button we can push to have it drive the right way in these states. You know what I mean.

Tesla should hire people to test FSD in rush our high traffic cities, because no one will dare test it there or only few people will do it

I live in Long Island area, and I can personally tell you that driving in Jersey City and NJ close to NYC is a major hassle, people will get lost, the highways are designed so stupidly, so if FSD can drive here, it can drive anywhere.
