Git vs GitHub vs GitLab vs BitBucket:

Git is a technology for version control.
GitHub, GitLab and BitBucket are all websites which host git repositories. In technical terms, they're called as "web-based Git Repository Hosting Platforms".

GitHub is time-tested and the fasted Git Hosting Platform owned and managed by Microsoft. It has the biggest market share and is trusted the most. But it's not feature-rich.

BitBucket is liked mainly for Jira as bug-tracking tool. It has CI/CD Pipelines but not as refined as those of GitLab.

GitLab is liked mainly for extensive and matured end-to-end CI/CD pipelines. It boasts itself as a web-based Dev-Ops Tool which also does GIT hosting.

Dev-Ops = CI Pipeline + CD Pipeline

CI Pipeline = Ensuring that the build is deployable
CD Pipeline = Deploying the build on various environments
