Reactions to Mac Studio, M1 Ultra, Studio Display & Apple Event Recap!

It's my reactions to the new Mac Studio and Studio Display that surprised us with the M1 Ultra. Plus the new iPhone SE gets an A15 Bionic and the new iPad Air gets an M1 inside. Apple is starting off the year strong, but there will be Good and Bad Apples!

I think the “peek” tease was because the amount of power in this form factor, imagine what will happen when they finally update the last device, the mac pro. The studio is basically a peek at the power that will be in the mac pro

I bought the Mac Mini 16GB with the M1 last year and for film making it has been awesome. It slices and dices 4K content without any issue. However, the power of the Mac Studio is mind blowing. I am not in the market for this type of upgrade but something to think about for the future.

They had me at M1. Everything since feels extra. As a matter of fact that’s my prediction. The pro will get the M1 Extra aka 2 Ultra’s tied together.

The 64 GB version of the iPad Air is also what their enterprise customers want for verticle market applications like healthcare. My company buys them by the hundreds and would likely buy a 32 GB version if they could because they only need them to run one application.

The studio is pretty cool.
More interested in the studio display. Wish it was brighter with 120hz and HDR

boy I wish hadn't bought my M1 Mac Mini load last year, I would step up to Mac Studio...however, I can't justify it...just a big I wants it! Great Review, txs.

Love the studio, the low-end version is exactly what I was hoping for as a Mac mini pro. I got that and way more, what's not to like? :-)

Thanks for your work Brian, I enjoy your videos. Do you think there will be a 27” iMac with M chip in the future? That’s what I’m waiting for and I was let down by these announcements.

I don’t think Apple will unlock any other fonction just because there is a A13 chip inside. There is no power button on the display. It seams the only way to power it on is to plug a computer (or tablet, phone, etc). The display probably don’t have the proper hardware to use Wifi to stream or use AirPlay.

I love the size…but I love ProMotion even more. I gave up the iPad mini because it gave me a headache…not sure if it was because of lack of promotion. But I would hesitate to go do the Air.
