Square Foot Gardening _ Planting the Plan // Whitt Acres

This is the video you have all been waiting for, I get the Raised bed planted out with the Square Foot method ish. I'm planting Salad greens, and Root crops mainly in this bed. The Garlic is already started on the edge and Ill be adding Herbs, Marigolds, and Pickling Cucumbers once the chance of frost has past.

I never plant 2 squares with the same crop, I spread it out to different squares for pest control. I also over plant with seeds that might be slightly too old and thin out as required.

I’m already planning for next year and excited I found your channel! We moved in July to a new build and didn’t have any garden beds until too late this year. I planted a beautiful garden but left it behind for the new owners of our old house. I really missed my garden this year.

My beds are about 1 meter wide so on square 30centimeter gardening I also have an edge, onions and garlic in the 10cm edge. We are metric in South Africa so I do Square 30cm gardening.
