Note - Samsung has not confirmed any of the S22 details mentioned in this video, it is purely based on leaks/rumours and my conjecture. No restricted materials have been used, only what is in the public domain.

Hey Chaps! Place your bets - which chip do you think will be superior ??

I can think of 3^^ no headphone jack, no charger, no MicroSD, and we can possibly call the chips as you said as well, seems that gen 1 is heating up like crazy

Hi, I'm from Europe. I can't understand why we cannot choose what to buy if exynos or Snapdragon 8 gen 1? And about the 1 TB ?

Samsung feels pretty confidence about their phone in their ads so I'm sure they have something incredible to offer.... We'll see

I would love to see them reach A Bionic level with their Exynos chip.

Doesn't matter. If they perform good and it Is fluent. Camera performance doesnt suck. The both can coexist. Nice phones. The S22 line is great.

I can accept the 8GB ram as from my experience 6GB is still fairly capable for day to day usage (currently using poco f1 for over 2.5 years). What I cannot accept is the fact that they decided to downgrade from 4k mah to 3.7k mah. Why do they have to downgrade the battery capacity though. I was hoping to get the s22 as an upgrade this year.

I stuck with my S10 last year when I was due an upgrade purely because it felt like the S21 had too much taken away from it; no charger, no SD card, and no headphone jack. They were my main gripes (not to mentioned the display downgrade on some S21 models), so to see that the RAM may drop to 8gb and the storage stay at 128gb... I'm still not really sure it's worth the upgrade. I'll probably stick to a sim only contract if there's no real innovation/improvements.

This time the Exynos should have the upper hand in all fields. If you consider all the quiet updates and the way Samsung improved the Exynos 2100, this is the year of the overtake.

Seeing how hot the SD Gen 1 gets, I think this year countries with Exynos might have an advantage.

Knowing Samsung, the Exynos chip is not only going to under perform and it's gonna disappoint

I'm upgrading from Note 8 which is still in excellent condition almost 5 years later and I had no problems with it :))) Hoping s22 Ultra will last just as long, I hate upgrading often. Still wondering if I should pre-order or wait until it's in use for a while. Overheating is a massive concern.

Here in my country, we get the exynos version. There are only 3 main differences: Processor, we get 256gb base storage instead of 128gb and our phones are dual sim instead of single. Pretty good deal if you ask me. We get no trade in program, no free stuff but the phone is always $100 less no matter it's the regular, plus or ultra. If you ask me, I'm good. For all others paying the same or even more, well I feel your pain.

Samsung is very smart when it comes to selling phones and making money. They've been putting both processors in their phones for a lot of years now. Every year people complain but they keep buying these phones. The bottom line is as long as people are buying them and they're making money, they're not going to change. You have to blame the consumer because they complain every year and Samsung sells millions of these phones. The only way Samsung will change if nobody bought them they will be forced to put the other chip in the phone. It comes down to the consumer not Samsung.

Forget it. Smartphone chips have been way more than enough for everyday purposes since 2013ish

Don’t expect it to beat the snapdragon nor the A series chips.

Save your money people and go with the mid rangers, I've got an A52s 5G for £400 when it first came out and I can honestly say its 1 of the best phones I've used in a while.

It came with everything people are asking for, SD card, 25 watt charger in the box, headphone jack, 120hz, 4-5 years security updates. Yes it doesn't have the best chip on the market right now or even the best cameras but for the price your paying your definitely getting a really good phone.

Save your money and discard the flagships, your only getting bent over anyway and for what, to say you've got the latest and up to date handset it's not worth it anymore. These mid rangers nowadays are pretty much up there

Everyone is expecting the exynos to perform better for many reasons, but when Google releases a no so good chipset for its phone, it turns out that it is more than enough for what we need, we don't need that much power, it gets the job done, still people take every word against exynos as true and something we can't give a pass....
